The role of the Destination & Logistics Trainer is to enhance the reservations and sales team's knowledge of the region's logistics, concessions and destination experiences offered across our unique portfolio as well as strategic and preferred third-party suppliers.
The candidate's key responsibilities are ensuring that all travel shops understand how to sell and combine varying destinations, building packages connecting different areas in-country or cross borders.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Responsible to create, manage and deliver detailed training on the Wilderness ground handling products and services. This includes our camps, touring services and Wilderness Air but focuses on travel and connections.
- Ensure that staff know where they can access information about third-party suppliers and Wilderness ground handling operations.
- Train new staff in all logistics in the areas we operate or offer DMC services in (Including areas where we may not always have Wilderness Product).
- Implement holistic product training modules incorporating eco-tourism, hospitality, sustainability, wildlife and community influences.
- Be responsible for developing training materials on the key platforms to provide training both in person and virtual onboarding sessions with our regional travel shops in collaboration with our Trade Marketing team.
- Create and audit documentation, videos and e-learning courses that facilitate training on the various platforms and software solutions that the business uses. Sharing all training materials with the Sales team selling in the B2B space.
Qualification
- A wildlife or hospitality-related qualification.
- I.T qualification is an advantage.
- 5-10 years' experience in hospitality is advantageous.
- Prior training experience in the wildlife and/or hospitality industry.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to supervise multiple projects.
- Consistent approach to quality of output and natural teaching techniques.
- Team worker and ability to interface with various departments.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral, in English.
- Self-starter with high energy levels.
- Great interpersonal skills.
