- Planning of the manufacturing operations, manage all manufacturing operations on site.
- Management of and reporting of out-of-control situations, e.g., budget, safety, quality, manpower shortages, industrial relations etc.
- Ensure reduction in production downtime meeting availability targets, with a specific focus on reducing human errors.
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly detailed patrols exist with focus on safety, quality, and performance outputs.
- Develop SOPs, OPls and other best practice documents for the department and ensure a training & development plan exists and that the competency of employees is developed.
- Ensure 5S standards are achieved for the Production areas
- Implementation of manufacturing projects as per the Annual plan and losses are stratified as per cost deployment and areas of opportunity identified into tangible savings.
You will need to have a minimum of a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial).A minimum of 5 to 7 years relevant experience working in experience in a FMCG/Manufacturing environment (24 /7) running plants, with 3 years management/ supervisory experience.Lean methodology knowledge is an added advantage. Working in a fast-paced environment is crucial for this role.
