Production Support Technician/Engineer

A leader in designing and manufacturing cutting-edge detection products, is seeking a Production Support Technician/Engineer for a 12-month contract. You will oversee various technical aspects across the facility, collaborating closely with the Technical Support Manager to schedule and execute production support tasks. Minimum of 3 years experience in a production environment, with at least two years in a production test environment and a qualification in Electrical Engineering is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate production support tasks in collaboration with the Technical Support Manager.
  • Assist in various production support activities, including:
  • Administration, housekeeping, inventory management, calibration, and general maintenance of production equipment.
  • Setup, fault finding, debugging, repair, and calibration of production test fixtures and equipment.
  • Debugging production test failures and analyzing test results.
  • Introducing customer test fixtures into production and providing training to peers and production staff.
  • Draft production test instructions and engage with customers to understand their test equipment needs, ensuring efficient facility support.
  • Supervise manufacturing equipment such as AOI and Selective Coating Machines, Smoke and Heat Chambers, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Design, develop, and enhance in-house test solutions to improve efficiency, managing and analyzing associated test data.
  • Possess intermediate knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, along with a strong understanding of computer systems and networks.
  • Support R&D efforts by building, evaluating prototypes, performing soldering, assembly, repair, testing, measurement, and failure analysis.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of all test fixture developments and commissioning.
  • Obtain quotes and generate purchase requests for necessary components and hardware, verifying test results against production specifications.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Electronics Engineering.
  • Preferably, experience in a production environment, with at least two years in a Production Test Environment.
  • Experience with Arduino and Raspberry Pi Development.
  • Basic proficiency in C / C# Programming Languages.
  • Strong grasp of electronic concepts, digital and analog circuits, and IT systems.
  • Familiarity with production processes, electronic instruments, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and related measuring test equipment.
  • Ability to read schematics and use Mechanical and Electrical CAD tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for technology.
  • Self-driven, effective communicator, punctual, and reliable, with the ability to work independently and in team settings.
