A well known automotive OEM based in Pretoria is looking for Production Process Coaches / Team Leaders with automotive production supervisory experience to join their paintshop and TCF departments
Purpose of the Role
Lead Trim, Chassis & Final Lines, be accountable for Production line, managing change and coaching employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure production targets are met as outlined in SQDCPME Policy Deployment.
- Maintain discipline & standardized process in work areas as outlined in OIS, WES & WBB procedures.
- Understand, Implement & Manage Fords Production System (FPS).
- Manage absenteeism levels, employee versatility & manning assignments in area of responsibility. (RTO matches DROT)
- Maintain the areas Quality Operating System (Zero Defects Shipped to next ZONE)
- Participate in PIC Room, VRT, FCPA & JDI requirements.
- Understand, Analyze & React to Electrical Tests Issues (SWDL, Config., ECOS & Pre-Rolls) ICA & PCA through the Paynther Process.
- Support & Filter data for Mechanical & Heavy Repair Paynter Reviews ICA & PCA all issues from your area.
- Use FIS to reduce production stoppages in your area, work with ME, IE, Maintenance and any support area to close concerns.
- Cost control: Overtime & Scrap (Track and reduce cost).
- Enforce Company Safety Regulations, Departmental Housekeeping, & Environmental Standards maintaining a healthy & safe work environment (i.e. ISO 9000 / ISO 14000 & TS 16949 procedures
- National Diploma /Degree Mechanical/ Industrial/Electrical Engineering and Production/Operation Management Diploma or Relevant Qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years within the Automotive Industry in Leading a section of employees.
- Must have displayed proven capability of leading a team in a current or previous roles provide Indicators and results achieved.
- Must have strong written and verbal communications skills
- Experience in Automotive industry.

- Painter Charts and Problem Solving.
- Green Belt Certification
- Basic SPC Knowledge.
- 8D Problem Solving.
- Reading FIS Reports.
