Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the entire tender process, from identification of opportunities in various forms of media to the compilation and submission of proposals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, professional standards and ensure alignment to company policies and procedures and to industry best practice principles.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, internal and external, to gather necessary information and documentation for tender submissions.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the services offered by the organisation.
- Analyse tender documents to understand client requirements and ensure alignment with the organization's vision, mission and capabilities.
- Prepare and submit compelling and competitive tender proposals.
- Monitor tender submissions and provide regular updates to management.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Attendance and record keeping of briefing meetings.
- Proficient in MS Office, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and with Pdf readers
- Skilled in working in both the cloud environment as well as with hard copies.
- Must be an effective communicator (personal, phone, writing, email; etc.).
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 3 years as a Tender Specialist or similar role within a professional service or built environment organisation.
- Strong understanding of professional servicers tendering within the built environment, including the relevant acts and regulations.
- Familiarity with the built environment industry, preferably the consulting engineering business and its services.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and with Pdf readers (Foxit, etc.).
- Proficiency in the utilisation of tender management software will be advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Skilled in working in both the cloud environment as well as with hard copies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Must be able to work non-standard working hours, should it be required.
