- To provide project management for a variety of programmatic areas in conjunction/collaboration with leadership, staff, and subject matter experts in order to plan and coordinate various projects
- Wits Vaccines & Infectious Diseases Analytics (VIDA) Research Unit, Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Soweto, and other VIDA locations as required
Data-to-Action Activities
- Collate monthly, quarterly, and annual site-specific data-to-action reports and generate cross-site data-to-action reports
- Maintain a comprehensive up-to-date activity tracker centrally and for all sites and coordinate collection of information required to showcase stakeholder engagement and co-funding activities
- Supports agenda planning and facilitation of bi-weekly data-to-action workgroup meetings
- Documents actions from data-to-action meetings and coordinates all follow-action items with workgroup participants
- Works with IE senior director to coordinate meetings with Program Office Units to manage cross-functional activities
- Provides project administration for case study/case examples development and review
- Provides project management support for NPHI/MoH data-to-action projects
- Provides project management support for site data-to-action projects and new grant-funded projects
- Provides project administration support for data-to-action projects with other work streams at the program office (HDSS/S3I, SBS, business ops, etc.)
- Effectively communicate with CHAMPS sites' point of contact for data-to-action
- Coordinated planning of agenda items and provides administration support for monthly team meetings, documented and ensures follow-up on actions
- Develops IE meeting updates, documentation, IE progress reports and targets, presentations, and other materials for internal and external audiences
- Provides monthly reports to Senior Director on IE activities
- Assists with cross-team communication and coordination with representatives of teams across the Program Office
- Provide administration support for communication with collaborators at CHAMPS sites and partner organizations
- Coordinates IE site visits
- Provide project management and coordination activities including:
- Scheduling meetings o Documenting and following up on required actions o Solicit and track progress on data-to-action projects and financial reports
- Maintain a tracker of D2A collaborations, successes, examples, and lessons learned
- Master's in Public Health, Public Administration, or a related field
- Knowledge of project management principles and more than 3 years of project management experience
- Research or Public Health surveillance experience (minimum 3 years)
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with program coordination and project management processes and tools
- Superior organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and communication
- Strong oral, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team and independently
- Practical strategic mindset and skills
- Works effectively with leadership and all levels of staff
- Evidence of scientific publications will be an added advantage
