KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Project Accountant

The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

The Project Accountant supports either the Cost Engineer or Senior Project Controls Manager with their accountabilities. The role is a development one with little direct accountability.

You Will Have The Following

• Financial Diploma
• Financial Degree highly advantageous
• 3-5 years experience in the following: Construction / Engineering Project Management environment.
• Experience in the mining environment highly advantageous

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:

• Responsible for an effective accounting service of a project by reporting on all aspects of cost and revenue.
• Checks invoices accuracy and arranges payments.
• Cross checking invoice info against contract payment terms and ensuring all backup documentation is provided for processing of invoices.
• Capturing of PJ in JDE.
• Prepares monthly reports and maintains adequate records of the financial status of projected costs at all times.
