Responsibilities
To provide administrative support to the Deans Office, specifically for the Joint-Community Project (JCP) Office, Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) and the Curriculum Development Committee coordinators and chair.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant National 3 year Diploma plus 2 years experience;
- Grade 12 plus 4 years experience;
- Relevant experience in office administration, secretarial duties and student engagement;
- Web design and project management;
- Relevant experience within a tertiary or academic environment;
- Experience working ERP systems.
Knowledge :
- Knowledge and experience in the preparation of report and accurate budgetary control;
- Appropriate language and communication skills;
- CE@UP processes and procedures;
- Data basis Management;
- Informed on Faculty and Departmental matters and financial processes;
- Knowledge of subject matters.
- Skilled in the use of computer-based systems such as Peoplesoft, webpage development;
- Skills in the use of MS Office software, YouTube and Google Platforms (Google Doc, Sheet, Forms, ect.);
- Administrative Skills;
- Ability to multi-task and liaise with a variety of internal and external people both national and international;
- Time Management;
- Ability to work with numbers.
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to function effectively under pressure and be able to prioritise;
- Attention to detail;
- Organisational skills;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Interest in subject matter.
- Work as PA or administrative officer;
- Experience with UP systems: PeopleSoft, ClickUP, CEMS, HEMIS etc;
- Experience with community engagement at UP or externally;
- Higher education experience;
- 2 years relevant experience;
- Basic knowledge of the Engineering environment.
The annual remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbents level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines. UP subscribes to the BESTMED medical aid scheme and contributes 50% of the applicable monthly premium.
