INTRODUCTION:
Our client has an opportunity for a Project Engineer. This opportunity exists within the Technical Department of their Head Office, reporting to the Technical Director. The candidate has to meet the following minimum criteria in order to be considered.
MINIMUM CRITERIA:
- BEng or BSC Eng. qualification in the mechanical or electrical engineering fields.
- Professional Engineering or Technologist registration required.
- 5 to 8 years’ engineering experience essential, 2 years of which must be in a senior project management capacity.
- GCC certification required, or in progress.
- Project Management qualification.
- Work experience in a Consulting Engineering environment is required.
- Work experience in a chemical storage, tank farm environment is preferred.
POSITION ACTIVITIES:
- Manage all Capital Projects at BTT, including feasibility studies, costings, budgets, contracts and resources.
- Report all deviations of the project and interrogate problem areas.
- Compile detailed project scope, specifications, plans, resources, and bills of
- Analyse/develop engineering standards and techniques.
- Take charge of site-work and safety aspects thereof.
- Handle all engineering project coordination, and administration during all phases of the project, as well as project close-outs.
- Report on Project Progress.
- Communicate Legal and Compliance Instructions.
