KZN Project Manager
SM Healthcare Placements is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Project Manager in Durban Kwazulu Natal for an exciting role within an International NGO in the health care field.
The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical assistance for the Pregnancy Exposure Registry and Birth Defect Surveillance (PER/ BDS) support for KwaZulu Natal.

The following are the qualifications, experience, knowledge and attributes requirements:
Education, Training and Experience
- A relevant Bachelor Degree.
- Necessary professional body registration.
- Excellent communication, resourcefulness and supervisory skills.
- Ability to handle a varied, busy and pressurized work load.
- Drivers licence and own transport; willingness to travel.
- 3 years’ experience in the Primary Health Care environment in the public sector.
- Previous management, training and mentoring of staff and ability to handle conflict.
- Facilitation and training skills.
- Master’s degree.
- 2 years’ additional experience in the Primary Health Care environment in the Public Health Sector.
Key performance areas
- Coordinate programme activities and oversee day to day project implementation at facility level.
- Participate in development of best practices and enhancement of project activities.
- Planning and resource allocation.
- Assist in programme monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
- Conduct quality assurance and improve the quality of project data.
- Training & capacity building for clinical staff, counselor supervisors, counselors and mobilisers.
- Provide technical support to District DOH on project activities.
- Assist with staff management.
- Effective self-management and performance ownership
