The client is a South African based financial services group on the South African Stock Exchange. The core business is long and short-term insurance, savings, investment, health care administration and employee benefits
The call is for experienced and well qualified Project Managers to join their already existing team. If you are an amazing Project Manager with excellent experience within Jira, Agile complimented by your knowledge of SDLC then please share your cv with us for review
Specific outputs that this position requires to deliver on could include: initiating, planning and executing projects. As an experienced project manager your deliverables will be focused on: development of project plans b specifying the goals, strategy, resource planning, scheduling, and identification of risks, contingency plans and dependency management in line with the project strategy
RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS
- Identify project stakeholders, communicate their roles, define the level of participation in the project, map their communication needs and stakeholder engagement strategies through formal project plans.
- Ensure projects are delivered according to scope and project governance.
- Manage delivery of the project across work streams according to project management methodologies.
- Identification and ongoing management of project risks.
- The creation and distribution of all project documentation i.e. project plans, risk matrixes, progress reports
- Submission of progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Continuous communication with stakeholders to ensure the correct level of expectation management.
- Ensure that the correct change management and work stream alignment processes are followed for each project.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 – 7+ years’ experience as a project manager
- Relevant degree required
- Project management certification required
- Hands-on project management experience in managing medium and large projects
- Experience in leading and facilitating cross-functional teams
- Experience in Agile methodologies
- Project portfolio that illustrates specific examples of business impact and value that was added through involvement in medium and large projects
- Process governance
- Good facilitation skills
- Knowledge of the insurance industry will be an advantage
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the full SDLC
- Familiarity with JIRA will be an advantage
