Job Purpose
To manage and deliver building projects in line with policy and procedure, and that building draws are made in accordance with loan agreements, thereby protecting the interests of the Bank and its clients.
Job Responsibilities
Feasibility/Viability and cost assessment
Assessing and verifying the building cost estimates contained in the Developers feasibility/viability report.
Keeping up-to-date with changes in building costs, market trends, viabilities, financial structuring of development loans and managing of development loans in conjunction with development progress.
Pre-condition scrutiny
Ensuring all building loan pre-disbursement conditions are met prior to disbursements.
Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of the development professionals.
Good understanding of the process involved with local authorities.
Client service
Building and maintaining relationships with clients and keeping the client well informed.
Advising the client of any possible disbursement delays and the reasons thereof.
Loan disbursements
Managing development loan progress payments while mitigating the Banks risk at all times.
Problematic deals
Analyzing reasons for and seeking solutions to mismanaged / problematic deals (damage control).
Attending Regional Credit /CRAM meetings when requested.
Self-monitoring
Monitoring own workflow and deadlines.
Having ability to self-assess, monitor and identify training and development needs for continuous improvement.
People Specification
Essential Qualifications
Tertiary Qualification in the Built Environment field
NQF level 7 in either Project Management or Quantity Surveying is preferred
Minimum Experience Level
8 10 Years working experience in the built environment of which 7 years in a project manager or quantity surveyors role
