Project Manager: Customer Experience

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

To effectively manage, lead and facilitate the end-to-end delivery of customer experience projects and initiatives for various portfolios and campaigns. The incumbent must focus on both the commercial and technical tasks to ensure the successful delivery within the agreed timelines, scope and quality. The Project will engage with various stakeholders across the business to influence Customer Experience thinking and execution.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Track and drive Vodacom and Vodafone-initiated Customer Experience projects for the various business unit portfolios.
  • Manage project activities across stakeholder audiences to ensure timelines and quality standards
  • Ensure efficient end-to-end implementation of approved projects and campaign according to prescribed standard.
  • Manage delivery schedules for a range of initiatives for various projects to ensure timeous implementation and compliance with the requirements defined.
  • Communicate with and manage stakeholders throughout the various project phases
  • Compile and present content and reports to for presentation to SLT and C suite audiences
Project Management and Administration:
  • Workshop/Meeting organization and facilitation;
  • Identify project stakeholders and form project teams;
  • Project scoping and managing scope;
  • Drawing up and managing project plans and adhering to project schedules
  • Accurate, regular and ad-hoc project reporting to all stakeholders;
  • Ensure that all project management documentation is up to date and stored in central repository.
  • Effective management of project deliverables, action items, risks, issues, dependencies and concerns accompanied by escalations when required;
  • Effective leadership of project resources to deliver against targets, both direct reports and in a matrix organisation
Communication and Reporting;
  • Facilitate effective communication between key project resources by convening , initiating, planning and scheduling project review meetings
  • Collaborate with all relevant groups to ensure correctness and adherence to business requirements;
  • Prepare documentation and reports for various levels of Management;
  • Ensure timeous and effective escalation should it be required.
  • Enab sound communication to ensure alignment and cooperation with other project management groups
  • The management of project plans, project controls and reporting will be executed on software tools, repositories, and management systems prescribed.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A relevant formal qualification in Project management /Business qualification and a minimum of 5 years experience of which 2 years in leading a project
OR
  • A minimum of 8 years relevant work experience of which at least 2 years in leading projects is essential.
  • Experience in Telecommunications or related environment is desirable
