Working at NTT
The Client Project Manager leads and directs concurrent client projects classified as standard or complex. The primary responsibility of Client Project Managers will be to interface with all project stakeholders to take projects from original concept through to final implementation, including handing over to Operations (whether internal to NTT or into the client's support operations).
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Initiation:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, budget, and deliverables with direction from Senior IT Manager and in coordination with other Project Manager
- Engage with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams to ensure optimal performance and collaboration.
- Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and provide regular feedback to team members.
- Project Execution and Monitoring:
- Oversee project progress, tracking key milestones, risks, issues, and resource utilization.
- Address any deviations from the project plan promptly and take corrective actions as needed.
- Identify potential risks and develop risk management strategies to mitigate them effectively with Senior IT Manager and Project Manager.
- Implement risk response plans and continuously monitor and evaluate risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports and issue resolutions.
- Define and enforce quality standards for project deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and organizational guidelines.
- Conduct regular quality reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage project resources efficiently, ensuring that tasks are allocated appropriately and team members have the necessary tools and information to perform their roles.
- Optimize resource allocation and utilization to meet project requirements.
- Implement effective change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of project changes and updates by team members and stakeholders.
- Anticipate and address potential resistance to change within the project environment.
- Monitor project expenditures, compare actual costs to budget, and ensure financial objectives are met with direction from Senior IT Manager
- Implement cost-saving measures and strategies to maximize the project's return on investment.
- Ensure successful project delivery, obtain necessary approvals, and formally close projects.
- Conduct post-project evaluations, gather feedback, and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Bachelors degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in project management with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience with Oracle - JD Edwards Enterprise One is advantageous
