The role will lead the scouting, ideation, value proposition building, formal business case development, integration, sustainability, implementation & continuous improvement of AMESAs strategic MOVE systems, primarily gTMS and WMS, providing subject matter expertise and capability development, to drive ISCP Replenishment, gTMS & WMS deployment and sustainment as well as deliver AMESA MOVE productivity, across all Transportation & in-scope Warehousing operations.
Responsibilities
- Deploying & Sustaining ISCP Replenishment Module with integration to transportation planning solutions.
- Deploying & Sustaining transportation planning solutions & warehouse management systems, for productivity programs (roll out gTMS in new markets, deploy change requests in existing markets, COE for gTMS).
- Collaborate with Warehouse & Transportation Managers in Global, GBS, Sector & BUs for vertical strategy cascades, best practices sharing, and new functionalities, across networks, warehousing & transportation optimization,
- Owning & executing the Transportation Planning Strategy, and supporting the WMS and ISCP strategies
- Leading and coordinating asset type, usage, and optimization projects and workstreams in transport, and equipment and labor strategies in warehousing
- Lead scenrio building and modelling exercise across BUs to standardize opportunity identification and enable continuos improvement
- Understanding, interpretation, and application/risk management/mitigation of Transportation regulatory constraints, decrees, and pipeline amendments and modeling to transportation planning accordingly.
- Driving efficiency in Transportation management, transportation asset type, payload optimization, and utilization, and peak season capacity strategies.
- Developing and sustaining standardized capability in people and process,
- Supporting the sector Warehousing, Transportation, and Supply Planning leaders in delivering the overall MOVE & SPL agenda through the strategic systems
- Serve as the sector lead for the business case development, design, deploy & sustain of the low-cost WMS Serve as sector lead for the deploy and sustain transportation planning program which will integrate ISCP and gTMS to optimize End-to-End transportation planning Partner with the ISCP team to enable ISCP success in AMESA from a Transportation & Warehousing perspective, as well as leveraging ISCP to drive Transportation efficiency Tactical Sourcing opportunities etc Execute the qualification and deployment of WMS & gTMS best practice tools to all applicable AMESA markets, including; Sustain & deploy ISCP replenishment module
- Sustain, deploy, and expand the use & application of gTMS and other transportation management systems & processes
- Provide alternative options for non-gTMS deployed BUs (e.g. Plato)
- Partner & leverage areas of overlap with Go To Market and RoadNet applications/trade-offs
- Sustain, deploy, and expand the use & application of WMS and other warehouse management systems & processes (Miebach, SAP, WCS etc)
- Co-own the delivery and improvement of the key Warehouse & Transportation planning metrics and performance indicators with BU SPL leads that drive operational costs, service, and quality
- Co-Own the warehouse & transport deep dives process, continuously improving the process, executing aligned deep dives and governing execution of action plans.
- Enable analytics through gTMS & WMS output data to create visibility and lead continuous improvement
- Enable optimization and decision-making in Warehouse & Transportation operations through leveraging gTMS and WMS data and scenario modelling to enable productivtity opportunities.
- Execute and deploy optimal solutions for Strategic Warehousing & Transportation sourcing plans per market, including Alternative Model break-even point & opportunity/avoidance models in transportation planning tools, and 3PL management optimization and labor efficiency in warehousing.
- Coaching and development of Business Unit SPL gTMS planners, WMS super users, field Logistics Experts on ISCP, WMS, & gTMS agenda.
- Drive capability in People, Process, Metrics, Bidding, Asset selection/trade-offs Own the Warehousing & Transportation Planning Master Data database for total sector & BU-level for key reporting, analysis and strategy development
- Ownership of the AMESA Warehousing & Transportation performance and productivity, including the reporting data, metrics, benchmarking, and reporting platform maintenance (partnered with AMESA Performance team), where driven by WMS or gTMS
- Lead the Warehousing & Transportation elements of financial tracking/management of MOVE spend visibility
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or Mathematical Sciences (i.e. Operations Research)
- 3+ years experience in transportation, 3+ years experience in warehousing, with at least 2 years in a field and multi-country regional capability development role planning and systems implementation experience desireable
- Experience with both PepsiCo Food and Beverage operations, broader portfolios are desireable
- Experience implementing gTMS and or WMS and delivering business benefits
