We are looking for a Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg (Hybrid).

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, tracking, monitoring, and controlling all project activities to ensure that objectives are met within the agreed time frames, quality standards, and budgetary constraints. This role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage resources effectively. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by aligning with client methodologies and leading project teams.

Responsibilities

Project Planning:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and constraints, ensuring that all potential issues are addressed proactively.
Project Tracking and Monitoring:
  • Track project progress against established milestones and timelines, ensuring that projects remain on schedule.
  • Monitor resource allocation and utilization, making adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency and meet project objectives.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and issues.
Project Control:
  • Implement project control measures to ensure that project activities are executed according to plan and within agreed-upon quality and funding parameters.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are aligned with the project financial plan.
  • Review and approve project deliverables, ensuring that they meet the required quality standards before final delivery.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams, ensuring that all project participants are working towards common goals.
Project Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, and any necessary corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is stored and organized according to company standards and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Essential Qualification: Degree or Honours.
  • Preferred Qualification: Honours or Masters (General Degree).
  • Registrations: PMP, Prince, or any recognized Agile affiliation (A plus).
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing small to medium-sized projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2).
  • Strong experience in managing project budgets, timelines, and resources.
Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
  • Solid understanding of project management frameworks and best practices.
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality control processes.
