Main Purpose Of The Position
- Ensure the Latest Best Practice Project Methodology is used on all Projects.
- Ensure the standard project life cycle is followed: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling and Close-Out.
- Executing projects from Feasibility to Final Commissioning and Hand-Over.
- Business Unit Technical Support is also a requisite.
- Leading maintenance team.
- BSc Eng / B.Eng / B.Tech Eng. (Mechanical).
- 5-10 Years Capital Project Management Experience.
- Contract Management Experience.
- Dispute Management Experience.
- Experience with RCI's.
- Multidisciplinary Engineering Design Experience.
- MS Office Experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Projects) will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles and Statistical data analyses.
- Knowledge of stock control procedures and regulations required.
- Knowledge of Financial planning and viability studies will be an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive material handling processes and procedures will be an advantage.
- Engineering and Technology Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Production and Processing Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Mathematics Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- Mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Design Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Computers and Electronics Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Administration and Management Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Customer and Personal Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Lead Projects throughout the project life cycle (Initiating to Close-Out Phases).
- Direct Resources on projects to ensure project success.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, in budget and to the correct quality requirements.
- Ensure the following areas of the project align to good project management practices: Project Integration Management, Budget Management, Scope Management, Schedule Management, Quality Management, Procurement Management, Risk Management, Resource Management, Safety Management and Communication Management.
- Ensure a zero-harm approach is endorsed on all construction activities on and off site.
