National NGO seeks to appoint an experienced project manager to join its dynamic team of professionals and facilitators in the Limpopo/Mpumalanga region.
Job requirements:
- An advanced degree in agriculture, agricultural economics, social development, nonprofit management, business or similar.
- At least 8-10 years’ of project management experience, including demonstrated experience leading remote teams of up to 20+ staff, as well as experience managing multiple projects at one time.
- Good report writing skills; demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint for budgets and presentations.
- Experience working in the NGO sector is preferred; agricultural NGO experience would be ideal.
- Drivers license and South African citizenship mandatory.
- Salary will be market-related, based on skills and experience.
- Position may be based in Polokwane and/or on site in Sekororo (Limpopo).
- Monthly travel to field sites in Lephalale, Sekororo, Bushbuckridge and Nkomazi is required.

Job responsibilities:
- The provision of a range of support services to existing agricultural and environmental programmes within Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces.
- Management and mentorship of professional staff and field facilitators, as well as providing technical advice and supervision to guide field-based activities.
- Identify and develop enterprise development opportunities.
- Proposal/report writing for M&E purposes; finding funding/donors for new projects.
- Stakeholder engagement across sectors.
