- A 3 years' degree/Diploma in Arts, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
- 3 years' performing arts experience will be a recommendation.
- Putting together a public relations and media plan for the State Theatre.
- Initiating contact with the media, journalists, and blogs.
- Conduct research about SAST productions and write press statements/releases using gathered information.
- Arrange media interviews for productions and creating talking points for interview requests. Accompany interviewees to the media when invited.
- Developing relationships with the producers of the shows, attend their rehearsals and interview them about their crafts in order prepare content for public relations and marketing. Responsible for creating and managing publicity campaigns for SAST products and services. Planning and implementing publicity campaigns.
- Working with the content team to create on-trend social media and blog posts.
