We are a diverse and varied team of focused purchasing colleagues covering Vestas' MED. MED Regional Procurement Organization (RPO) is responsible for managing MED (Southern Europe, Africa and ME) Vestas' spend with external suppliers. With a matrix organization, with global and regional roles, the RPO ensures the deployment of common strategy and processes with same overall outcomes across all Vestas regions. You will report to the Head of MED Service Procurement, the full team is working cross-functionally and is responsible for managing all Procurement activities related to Service business.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a Service Solutions Purchaser in Procurement to join the team. This person (f/m/d) will define and implement, together with the global team, MED Service Solutions category strategy which includes Maintenance, Lifting Solutions and Repairs in Africa.
Your Responsibilities Will Cover
- Lead Service Solutions Procurement in Africa towards SMART and Vestas business targets KPIs.
- Promote continuous cost out/profitability activities
- Define and implement, together with the global team, the Africa Service Solutions category strategy ( Manpower, Cranes and Repair)
- Support African activities running RFQ's for Service Solutions (stakeholder management, supplier selection, contract preparation and negotiation)
- Support MED sales team on finding subcontractors in new Markets
- Ensure that suppliers are supporting Vestas goals in terms of cost, delivery, quality and safety
- Lead Supplier relationship and performance management
- Work in collaboration with the team members to ensure RPO targets are achieve
- Bachelor/diploma or Master's degree in the field of (or related to) Supply Chain Management (either Business or Engineering) is required.
- Experience of 4 years in Procurement.
- Advanced English level written and speaking
- Structured person with analytical and negotiation skills
- Cross cultural skills (will work as part of an international team).
- Team working competences within a Matrix organization as well as Independent, pragmatic, and solution-oriented working style
- Ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive situation
