The Role
Mambos requires a dynamic, energetic, self-starter who applies common sense and logic in a service role which demands high quality service to stores and urgency in replenishment of stock remaining top priority.
You will work closely with the buying team; ensuring that all stock requirements are planned correctly, in accordance with the buyers activity. A key focus within your role will be to build and develop relationships with key suppliers, ensuring that all replenishment activities from their side are executed effectively.
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Purchasing / Admin Coordinator to manage our retail inventory and ensure a smooth supply chain process. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of retail market dynamics. This role is critical in maintaining optimal stock levels and supporting our retail operations.
This individual will be in a supporting role. They will possess procurement cycle knowledge, data entry skills, analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, high communication & relationship management skills, detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. Must be able to work with multiple business processes & systems along with the ability to quickly understand and become proficient with new ones. Ability to work towards achieving the procurement goals and act as a trusted team member, advisors and partner to internal stakeholders and the customers.
Responsibilities: Coordinate with Buyers and provide support to stores to assist with obtaining all required approvals and maintain all spreadsheets and evaluate all corrections for same and establish all best purchase activities.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, shipments, or invoices.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
Education
To be successful, you will need:
- Grade 12
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Preferable / in progress
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Coordinator, Buyer, or similar role in the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain procedures and inventory management.
Technical Skills
Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
Excel proficiency required
Ability to utilize an inventory management system

Highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
