Qualified Air-Conditioning Technician – Trade Tested (Red Seal) Bloemfontein
The successful incumbent will be responsible for installing and maintaining all air-conditioning units cooling systems, identifying problems servicing and taking necessary action like repairs and replacements of parts
Minimum requirements:
Grade 12
N3 coupled with a Trade Test (Red Seal)
3 Years working experience as a Technician in Commercial Air-conditioning and Refrigeration to Industrial environment
Valid Code 08 Driver’s license (not negotiable)
- Providing new installation service, repairing the existing ones and replacing the tempered parts of the refrigeration or air-con units
- Inspecting various systems and its components like ventilation and cooling units, exhaust fans and other sections to ensure proper functioning of the device along with safety and identifying necessary repair and maintenance service
- Diagnose problems and failures in the refrigeration system
- Perform routine maintenance assigned for the purpose of ensuring proper functioning of air-con and refrigeration systems
- Cleaning of parts to ensure that unit operates properly
- Prepare technical documentation and record on various issues, material, log times and specification
- Request parts and necessary equipment for the purpose of inventory maintenance to ensure the availability of required items
- Coordinate with administration and other staff to complete the ongoing project or work order efficiently
- Report work progress to the Engineering Manager
- Maintain tools and equipment
- MUST have VRV and VRF Systems experience
Salary negotiable according to experience and qualifications + company vehicle + benefits (small pension and bonus)
