Vacancy: Fitting Quality Manager
Purpose of the Job
The Fitting Quality Manager manages in his/her scope of work, the actions to ensure the conformity of the product and to help the continuous improvement on quality processes. Ensure the conformity of the product and act quickly to solve quality issues.
Responsibilities:
- Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
- Devise and review specifications for products or processes
- Solicit feedback from the customer to assess whether their requirements are met
- Leading a team in meeting and exceeding their objective.
- Ensure the respect of the Control Plan and Self Inspection at each workstation.
- Ensure QRQC/8D methods are being followed when analysing the Root cause of the problem
- Ensure the sign of process is being adhered to on all necessary documents to complete the Delivery Logbook.
- To promote the Transport QMS, contribute to its definition, deployment and improvement in the Production line activities.
- To continually search for effectiveness of QMS to support Business activities and to increase Customer Satisfaction.
- To be aligned to the Quality Director on transversal activities.
- Compliance of the Production Line Management System.
- Respect of yearly Quality System event deadlines (process reviews, QMR, internal audits.
- Effective management of action plans resulting from external or internal.
- Buy off the final product (at PC9) before the release for delivery.
- Attend the daily meeting in the workshop.
- Defined and communicate the quality acceptance criteria at each workstation.
- With manufacturing manager, train to use the self-inspection sheets.
- Ensure efficiency of self-inspection.
- Ensure efficiency of control plan to avoid defects detected by internal and external customers.
- B-Tech Degree in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering / Technical qualification.
- Leadership or and people management qualification will be advantageous
- Qualification in Quality management is essential and highly recommended
- Management role with 2 to 5 years experience preferably in the manufacturing quality environment, ideally in an international organization.
- Internal auditing techniques training or experience will be advantageous
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
- A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of fitment assemble inspection / Quality management.
- General railway and Train knowledge.
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
- Experience in operational activities and in documentation management
- knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS) and quality tools
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Experience in Problem Solving/8D, PFMEA and Control Plans
