- Manage and ensure that the chicks packed comply with specification and requirements.
- Conduct Hatchery inspections daily (Area of Responsibility).
- Maintain the HACCP system, ISO 22000 implementation, DAFF and OHS Regulations and issues.
- Complete all records and corrective actions daily for signature of the Hatchery Manager and Hatchery Foreman.
- Communicate to the food safety team and Production staff of any problems or improvements in production.
- Implement all activities necessary to maintain the efficiency of the Food safety system In the hatchery.
- Monitor every process involved in the production of a product.
- Complete all check sheets of inspection processes and protocols used within Festive.
- Responsible to identify the problems and issues regarding quality of the products and also has to make recommendation to the supervisor.
- Maintain 20 Keys.
- Report any damages of any machinery and equipment on a corrective action form to the foreman or manager.
- Get involved in the OHS day to day issues.
- Must have a Matric Certificate.
- Must have a Poultry Meat Examiner qualification and a relevant diploma.
- Ability to speak English and a second official language.
- Must be able to communicate at all levels.
- Must be able to work in a high pressured environment.
- Must be willing to work shifts and overtime including weekends and public holidays.
- Sound Knowledge of FSSC 22000, GMP requirements and Quality Management Systems.
- Must be proactive, have good management, communication and interpersonal skills as well as problem solving and planning skills.
