Job Description

The role of Quality Engineer participates in automation (and manual testing, where required) of features and applications across digital channels, including websites, mobile apps, USSD and WhatsApp to support the release of quality solutions.

Developing technical specifications and software application architectures for enabling secure services on the web platform.

Contribute to the technical roadmap and vision.

Research, assess programming related advances and playback to team members.

Create and test software prototypes.

The ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues.

Working with a team building software in an agile manner

Comfortable with pair programming

Minimum Qualifications/Experience (required For The Job)

Matric certificate with ISTQB/equivalent tertiary qualification in testing and theory techniques

4+ years of experience in test automation

Experience with Java or Python

Automation using Selenium Cucumber

Knowledge of testing frameworks, methodologies, and tools

Knowledge of cloud-based development is desired

Understanding of web, mobile, USSD and WhatsApp development is advantageous

Determine test environment, tools, and data requirements
