To co-ordinate, supervise and monitor a department with regards to defined goals and objectives in accordance with internal KPIs.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure adherence to the companys rules and regulations as documented in the companys disciplinary policy.
- Ensure that housekeeping is maintained and comply with housekeeping requirements in your area of responsibility.
- Ensure safe work practices as defined during induction and Health & Safety training and awareness campaigns.
- Ensure that you and your sub-ordinates adhere to the companys rules and regulations as documented in the Code of Conduct ant take the appropriate disciplinary action when required.
- Comply with standard work monitoring.
- Conduct risk monitoring as required.
- Conduct equipment checks as required.
- Ensure and maintain area maintenance pertaining to processes, facilities, and equipment.
- Ensure all audit requirements are met with regards to procedure and process accuracy.
- Record and report all damaged cases/components.
- Ensure procedures for the area of your responsibility are adhered to and that any changes that could be required are noted.
- Always ensure that the area of your responsibility work according to relevant procedures.
- Ensure that all non-conformances and queries are addressed daily.
- Ensure that all areas maintain a standard filing system.
- Motivate employees to maintain peak productivity.
- Ensure a balanced scope of work of subordinates reporting to you.
- Monitor and maintain the required skills and knowledge of your sub-ordinates.
- Maintain a motivated team and effectively apply communication and leadership skills.
- Ensure that standard team talks, and operational meetings are adhered to.
- Ensure timely communication flow between management and subordinates.
- Communicate with customer and suppliers with regards to subjects requiring their involvement.
- Ensure accurate and effective record keeping on all required record/reports under your responsibility.
- Any other reasonable and executable task within your vocational ability.
- Grade 12/Matric (English & Mathematics/Math Literacy)
- Proficient software skills (MS Word, MS Excel)
- Knowledge of VDA & Audit Requirements
- Knowledge of SAP R3 & VVPC
- At least 3 years logistics experience and one-year supervisory experience
