The Guma Group is involved in various infrastructure development and services such as; Engineering & Construction (Building & Civil), Energy (Solar, Wind, & Hydro) , Water & Sanitation, Toll Roads & Bridges, Railways, Port developments & operations.
In particular Guma has secured projects in the DRC including the development of three new smart cities in the DRC and the construction of 26 new hospitals across the DRC.
Smart Cities
Guma has been appointed by the government of the DRC to develop the scheme, arrange for the finance, design and construction of three smart cities in Kinshasa, Mbuji Mayi and Kolwezi
Required
Phase I of the development will include the securing of the finances, the development of the design and appointment of contractors to install the infrastructure required by a smart city that will include
- Installation of roads and stormwater drainage systems
- Installation of potable water
- Installation of wastewater management systems.
- Electrical reticulation systems
- Fiber optic backbone and network infrastructure.
Guma has been appointed as the implementing agent responsible for the securing of the finance, development of the schemes and subsequent design, construction, operation and management of the hospitals.
These hospitals will be top tier medical facilities that will provide a full comprehensive suite of medical care facilities that includes emergency services, obstetrics, pediatrics, oncology, internal medicine, tropical decease management, TB specialist ward.
Position: Quantity Surveyor
Project: Infrastructure and Construction Projects in the DRC
Key Responsibilities
~ Estimating the resources required to execute prescribed work
~ Preparing of monthly valuation/Interim claims on projects
~ Attending professional and subcontractors meetings.
~ Placing of subcontractors and supplier orders
~ Completion of material wastage reports.
~ Tendering for projects including pricing and filing of returnables
Criteria For Preferred Candidates
~ Atleast 10 years work experience
~ Proficiency in French (Added Advantage)
~ Work experience in French speaking countries.
~ Must have drivers license
~ Must be healthy
~ Fluent in English (Read & Write)
~ Hold a valid passport
~ COVID 19 Vaccinated
