Quantity Surveyor (Construction)
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
Salary: R30 000 p.m
Our client in the Construction industry is looking for a Quantity Surveyor.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and submit claims for payment.
- Prepare and submit variation orders.
- Preparation of contract related documents.
- Liaison with engineers’ representative.
- Liaison with site agent, subcontractors and other parties involved on the projects.
- Prepare subcontractor claims.
- Prepare cost reports, tender evaluations and sub-contractor appointment schedules for approval by Contracts Manager.
Requirements
- Must have a BSc in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of five years’ experience in the construction industry as a quantity surveyor.
- Have good attitude and mannerism.
- Good administrative skills and knowledge of Principal Building Agreements.
- Hands on site measurement skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to function independently.
- Languages (Written & Spoken)
- Good command of the English language
