RADIOLOGIST

Comply with GMC guidance, all clinical risk management processes and national and local infection control policies and procedures
Audit your clinical outcomes, report clinical incidents and alert the trust to risk
Participate in annual appraisal and work to foster good team relationships
Communicate effectively with all other medical and service departments within the hospital, and with GPs and other hospitals, to ensure continuous care for each patient
Undertake non-emergency work during premium time as required
Respond to patient complaints in line with our complaints policy
Support the Trusts financial sustainability by collaborating with your clinical and operational directors on budget issues
Help us keep services running smoothly by giving six weeks notice of annual and study leave.
Job plan (illustrative)
The job plan will be agreed with the successful candidate and will have a minimum of 4 PAs. If the candidate wishes to offer a further clinical PA it may be possible to accommodate this.
The post will be flexible to some degree based on workload and activity across the company.
The post-holder is expected to support the training of the radiographer and respond to changes in demand of work.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in limited out of hours phone support
We will work with you to shape the ideal job plan upon successful appointment, and review it with you after three months and then annually so you can keep the perfect fit. We will also provide the essential resources to support you in your duties.
The post will have components of general radiology, including plain film reporting, CT, Ultrasound and MRI. There is scope for the successful candidate to offer new business opportunity and the company would support sub specialty activity.
There are 3 static MRI scanners with mobile MRI and CT increasing capacity further.
The company has minor procedure rooms and main theatres at all its CDH and this is supported with DSA capable image intensifiers.

Were passionate about teaching, so youll play your part in teaching the next generation of clinical staff. Well ask you to help recruit junior staff and supervise their education, including their educational contracts, regular appraisal, study leave, annual leave and rotas and make sure you keep up-to-date on educational development. You will be asked to enrol on an approved educational supervisor accreditation course.
Requirements Requirements:
- Full GMC Registration Specialist Registration or will obtain within 6 months of interview date
- Appropriate training in conventional radiology and other imaging modalities for entry onto the Specialist Register
- Experience of Clinical Audit Experience of Teaching Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Adheres to GMC Code of Conduct Upholds the organisation's Values
