Camps Bay Village, our serviced apartments on Camps Bay Beachfront seeks a receptionist to join their team.
The receptionist must manage and control all operational and accounting aspects of the Front Office, including Reservations. To ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day front desk / Night Audit / Reservations operation.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Hospitality qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum 2 years experience in the same or similar position
- Opera Experience
- Familiar with all the duties and procedures of the Front Office / Reception
- Responsible for adhering to operating systems and procedures for the Front Desk department in accordance with the company standards and requirements. The departments include reservations, reception, switchboard, night audit an porterage
- Responsible for monitoring of guest services
- Maximise room revenue and sales and achieving maximum room rates
- Cross selling for other venues
- Responsible for the financial aspects of front desk operation and deviances recorded, including petty cash control, daily house lists distributed, debtors passed to accounts department, banking, float checks, and day to day correspondence and filing
- Liaise with maintenance department and housekeeping to ensure all units are properly maintained
- Take part in annual job reviews
- Pit checks / credit checks
- Wake up calls
- Assist with airline confirmations, tourist information, personal requests
- Induction and training of new employees
- Emergency procedures
