About The Role
Embark on rewarding leadership journey with Reckitt as Shift Artisan is to ensure that the plant and equipment perform at the optimal levels of efficiency using P.M/Scheduling and continuous improvement and to make sure its maintained at a high level by meeting the daily Production Plan.
This Role also has the responsibility of ensuring that proposals for relevant equipment is updated, replaced or modified to meet the operations requirements. This includes ensuring that SMED principles are utilised and that a preventative maintenance programme is implemented and carried out to ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment. The Shift Artisan also has the responsibility to training key skills for operators ect.
Your responsibilities
- Accountable for equipment, reliability performance and capacity.
- Lead continuous improvement projects related to line performance and manufacturing performance.
- Lead SMED (Single minute of change of dyes) principles and practice.
- Be accountable for overall equipment effectiveness and related KPIs.
- Accountable for the maintenance of scheduled maintenance as well as shut maintenance.
- Lead total preventative maintenance concepts and programmes.
- Set standards and ensure maintenance is being done efficiently and effectively.
- Responsible for spares inventory control.
- Develop and maintain safety standards according to the health and safety Act.
- As a member of the Maintenance Team, supports the continuous improvement and growth of Team.
- Analyse and carries out any actions related to machine logs.
- Play active role in root cause analysis
- N3 qualification with minimum of 5 years experience as an Artisan in plant maintenance, preferably in a FMCG environment.
- And a valid Trade test. (Red Seal) Mechanical
- Report writing
- Knowledge of local requilations and standards
- Competent Microsoft office /SAP system, coupled with strong innovative and problem - solving capabilities
- Able to undertake responsibility for area of operation. Worked and has knowledge of hazarders locations and materials.

- TPM.
