The main function is to act as an intermediary between clients looking to recruit and candidates who are seeking a job. A recruitment consultant needs to maintain the client relationship and understand their needs, and ensure that they match it appropriately to a candidate profile.
In doing so, the consultant needs to have an understanding of a wide variety of factors, from the clients industry, culture, plans, business and more. Then the match needs to be made to a particular candidate who matches these factors.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Management of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle
- Matching and placing candidates into the right position by ensuring the client and candidates needs are understood and met
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
- Candidate headhunting to target both active and passive external candidates, particularly hard-to-find talent and niche skills
- Leverage online recruiting resources and in-house system to identify and recruit the very best candidates
- Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements
- Pre-screen and interview candidates though competency based questioning techniques
- Manage and coordinate all communication with candidates and clients
- Prepare candidates for interviews with clients by providing detailed information on the company, business strategy, department background, job descriptions, and expectation- setting
- Manage the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and administrative components involved in full recruitment lifecycle
- Conducting business development to grow existing client base
- Market and industry research and due-diligence
- Training from the Directors on various topics to develop the employee on aspects of the recruitment cycle
- Shadowing of Directors and other consultants
- Learning what makes a good CV
- How to manage candidates through recruitment processes
- Assisting Directors with CV management and presentation
- Sitting in on Client meetings with Director
- Learning how to conduct own candidate meetings/interviews
- Recording of relevant candidate and client info on our database system
