- Conduct market research to identify potential markets, industries and clients.
- Analyse market trends, competition and customer needs to develop sales strategies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with international clients mainly in Africa.
- Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints and feedback.
- Develop and implement export sales plans and strategies.
- Set sales targets and objectives for international markets.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services. (Training will be given in-house.)
- Provide product training and support to customers and distributors.
- Work jointly with the sales director to negotiate terms of sales agreements, including pricing, delivery and payment terms.
- Prepare and manage sales contracts in terms of finding distributors in new territories.
- Monitor and report on sales performance and financial metrics.
- Prepare sales forecasts and budgets for international markets.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with international sales and logistics.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, production and finance.
- Participate in weekly sales progress meetings and provide updates on export activities and performance.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with international clients.
Proficiency in sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
Analytical skills to interpret market data and sales performance.
Organizational skills to manage multiple clients and sales processes.
