Diplomat South Africa is looking for dynamic and energetic individual to fill the role of an Recruitment Specialist based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The position will report to the Recruitment Manager.
Job Purpose
To action recruitment processes for Diplomat SA that will ensure the attraction, retention and development of talent.
Furthermore, to ensure that we recruit in alignment with the BBBEE targets of Diplomat SA and to advise and inform business decisions related to recruitment.
To administer all recruitment processes, policies and procedures. This role is responsible for accurate data capturing and recordkeeping of all recruitment transactions on all relevant systems.
Critical to this role is the administrative support it provides to the Recruitment Manager. This enables professional delivery and contributes to HR being a value add partner in the business.
A critical success factor to this role is the ability to understand the recruitment philosophy of Diplomat Global and ensure that the recruitment function adds value to the People Management agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Recruitment administrative duties cost effectively.
- Contribute to the cost savings target of the company - by placing directly sourced candidates.
- Continuously explore alternatives to improve the Recruitment service delivery.
- Be the point of contact for Line Manager queries regarding recruitment.
- Escalate recruitment queries to Recruitment Manager if not able to resolve.
- Accurately record and follow up on queries until finally closed out.
- Assist with execution of Recruitment processes, e.g. Setting up interviews, Coordinating assessment, Drawing up of employment contract, Obtaining authorisation from various Department Heads.
- Maintain recruitment tracker and provide details for the cost savings report.
- Facilitate the on-boarding process of new employees.
- Provide Weekly report on recruitment activity.
- Advertising vacancies - Topmatch ATS, internal advertising platform, internet and written media. Measure success of advertising response.
- Maintain a measure of successful placements made plus internal transfers.
- Responsible for all administration and management related to the recruitment process.
- Manage the communication around internal vacancies and the applications thereof.
- Co-ordinate and track progress recruitment within assigned business unit. Report on progress and success of internal placements.
- May have supervisory responsibilities interms of verification & vetting of all ap-pointments.
- Maintain the adherence to agreed internal recruitment standards (recruitment best practice).
- Follow DSA Recruitment process flow, Internal Application Process, Internal Regret Process and Relevant Background Checks per department.
- Take responsibility for self-development through self-study, identification of learning opportunities.
- Completed Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in HR.
- Min 5 years proven experience as a Recruitment Specialist, Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role in HR within the FMCG environment.
- Hands-on experience with the leading online recruitment job sites like PNET, LinkedIn, Career Junction etc.
- Advanced MS Office skills and familiarity with relevant Applicant Tracking Systems & HR systems.
- High level of resilience and strong ability to deal with setbacks and high pressure environment.
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment strategies, relevant labour laws and employment equity.
- Knowledge of various sourcing techniques and ability to measure efficiency thereof.
- Strong negotiation skills when discussing terms and conditions of employment.
- Good written and verbal communications skills with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high volume of work with tight deadlines.
- Very strong attention to detail and listening skills.
- Ability to work overtime, as and when required.
- High level of confidentiality of information.
- Own vehicle with a valid driver's licence.
