Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
- Maintain valid, accurate and complete trial balances for properties and portfolios.
- Post / review monthly tenant and special journals.
- Accrue for expenditure and manage the accrual account on property and portfolio level.
- Review arrears to raise appropriate bad debt provisions.
- Prepare and report timely, accurate and complete portfolio management accounts with variance commentary monthly.
- Assist in decision making by providing relevant insights and analysis on performance trends, payment validity and accurate accounting.
- Facilitate the timely, accurate and complete preparation and reporting of budgets and forecasts for both Income Statement and Balance Sheet for these properties and portfolios.
- Maintain asset registers and ensure that assets are properly depreciated over time.
- Assist management in tracking and driving result / yield improvement on property and portfolio level.
- Assist with the take on of properties during the acquisition and development phases.
- Reconcile and process the adjustment accounts on disposal of properties.
- Review and analyse monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Facilitate special/adhoc projects to optimize and automate reporting.
- Manage junior staff.
