Job Description
This role manages the area's distribution infrastructure, sales activity and processes through teams of Business Consultants, to ensure area profitability, and to achieve and exceed business plan and grow market share.
Key Result Areas:
Management Effectiveness
- Manages service delivery and sales performance through teams of Business Consultants.
- Manages the HR function for the area as well as all day-to-day staff administration.
- Drives operational excellence through area of supervision.
- Assumes accountability for managerial work, including selection, performance management and talent management.
- Develops Business Consultants
- Manages sales processes through the teams to ensure branch profitability and to achieve business plan.
- Identifies potential new markets & opens up the markets with assistance of relevant resources to grow market share.
- Monitors area results.
- Ensures that the branch has Marketing and Sales plan.
- Responsible for internal and external relationship management with key stakeholders.
- Aligns with national and regional stratgies
- Reviews effectiveness of strategy and re-align continuously
- Gathers market intelligence and incorporate information into branch strategy
- Provides information to appropriate stakeholders e.g. product providers, resources etc.
- Manages the branch by practicing sound business principles in accordance with OMSA/BDs business governances
- Manages areas budget
Role Qualifications
- Grade 12
- FAIS compliance (RE 1 or RE5) will be an added advantage
- Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification
- At least 8 years experience in marketing/sales within the financial/life assurance industry
- Previous managerial experience in marketing/sales within the financial/life assurance industry will be an added advantage
- Experience and knowledge of the Broker environment
- Own reliable transport and a valid driver's license
- Fluid in English and Afrikaans
