Main Purpose Statement
The primary purpose of the role is to lead a region, consisting of various retailers within our network. The incumbent will be responsible for managing a team of Area Supervisors and Credit Consultants. 3 Key Responsibilities
Plan, develop and implement a sales strategy for the region that is consistent with the overall goals and objectives of the sales division
Manages sales effort, including activities of the credit team and related credit programme functions
Ensures the adherence to credit programme policies in relation to compliance with local regulation and standard operating procedures through audits and other control measures
Ensures that agreed policies and procedures relating to Retail Partners are adhered to
Manages the team, including recruitment, performance management, training, development, motivation, work allocation, succession and employee relations
Maintain internal and external stakeholder management, particularly in the retail partnership environment
Participate in the development of operating goals and objectives of the region, including recommendations, implementing procedures and ways of working to ensure the optimal performance of the region
Assists in the annual budget planning process and ensures expenditure within budget
Analyses and appraises the effectiveness of sales methodology, costs, and results
Responds to enquiries and requests from stores, customers and teams- researches and resolves problems; collaborates with other business units in the resolution of day-to-day issues
Key Competencies
Knowledge of retail and/or consumer lending.
Comprehensive knowledge of sales forecasting and principles, concepts and methodologies.
Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive regional sales strategy, goals, operating budget and plans.
Skilled in organising resources, analyzing and solving problems, establishing priorities, and making evaluative judgements.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders in a diverse community
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
Relevant tertiary qualification in business, retail, sales or financial management
A minimum of 5 years experience in retail operations management
Previous Store Or Regional Management Experience Essential
MS Word, Excel and Outlook - solid
Financial Services or Banking experience - a distinct advantage
Proven track record of people management
A valid code B driver's license (older than 6 months) is essential
