The purpose of the Regional Sales Manager Coastal Region is to develop and execute the Areas business strategy with respect to its sales performance targets for all product categories in conjunction with the Managing Director and other stakeholders, in line with Group objectives. The position will focus on growing market share and ensure business performance targets are met for all Sales Consultants.

As the Regional Sales Manager Coastal Region you will be responsible for:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Involvement with establishment and execution of Area Sales Plans to ensure business objectives are achieved
  • Development of short term and long term strategies for the region.
  • Plans for customer retention as well as conversion.
  • C-suite and Key Opinion Leader relationship development and management
  • Achievement of set Area Sales Budget and growth objectives
  • Development for product portfolios in line with company expectations
  • Management of Sales Consultants regionally
    • Co-travelling with sales consultants
    • Monitoring of call planners and report analysis weekly and monthly reporting
    • Monitoring of call rates and territory coverage
    • Monthly reporting on achievement of sales
    • Monthly forecasting of area sales and orders & monitoring of forecast accuracy
    • Budget planning and territory management with sales advisors
    • Execution of sales strategies for the region
    • Managing of sales expenses
    • Ensure that all Sales consultants operate in a structured approach to their sales activities
    • Ensure that Sales Consultant are Facilitating workshops and customer training
    • Planning of training requirements for the sales consultants
    • Maintain Area customer data base
    • Market intelligence and feedback on competitor activities
Qualifications
  • Medical and/or Sales and Marketing tertiary qualification
Requirements
  • Mature leader, entrepreneur, strong communicator, people manager
  • Very growth-, innovation- and customer-oriented, the face to the market ;
  • Strong service orientation; high energy/drive;
  • Good financial/business acumen;
  • Ability to exert influence and persuasion across a broad front;
  • Successful relevant sales management experience will be beneficial
  • Experience in preparation and implementation of sales, product strategies and plans
  • Tertiary qualifications with a background in sales. Sales management experience will be beneficial.
  • Marketing or general business along with experience within a Healthcare related industry/ profession would be most desirable.
  • Valid Drivers License and own vehicle.
  • Computer literate, intermediate in Ms Excel.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills (verbal & written).
