Regional Sales Manager (Open to Expat)

Our client is currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join their team in Kenya. The ideal person for this role should have extensive knowledge of the soap noodles industry, along with significant international sales experience, particularly within Africa. They should be familiar with the market dynamics and have spent considerable time in multiple African countries.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements regional sales plans and strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Establishes sales quotas and targets for the region.
  • Monitors sales performance and provides regular performance feedback to sales teams.
  • Coaches and mentors sales representatives to improve their skills and performance.
  • Recruits, hires, and develops a high-performing sales team.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key customers in the region.
  • Identifies new business opportunities and expands customer base.
  • Resolves customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
Skills
  • Managing sales budgets and expenses.
  • Closing deals and resolving customer issues.
  • Inspiring and motivating sales teams, setting clear goals, and providing guidance.
  • Ability to sell related products such as finished soaps and palm oil, with a primary focus on soap noodles.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience working in India
  • Strong understanding of the soap noodles industry.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management software.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies and processes.
  • Proven track record in international sales, specifically across Africa.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time
