Main purpose of the job
Reporting to the Head Of Sales, the incumbent will be responsible to manage the sales of the companys cleaning, hygiene and pest control products and services, while ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues and management of the multi sales executive team.
Education And Experience Required
- Matric
- A National Diploma in Sales and Marketing
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a product and service environment preferably cleaning, hygiene and pest control industry
- At least 5 years sales experience within cleaning & hygiene services /similar services would be an advantage
- At least 4 to 5 years related experience in a Sales Supervisory or Management position
- Proven Sales Track Record
- Recent attendance of Sales Seminars, conferences, or workshops
- Knowledge Skills and Competencies required
- Knowledge of various Sales Methodologies
- Knowledge of the Bidding process particular to South African markets

- Key areas of responsibilities:
- Managers Pre-Sale, Sale and Post Sale process with sales team
- Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates pricing and discounts in consultation with Commercial and Contracts teams
- Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams
- Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company products
- Provides quarterly results of sales productivity
- Manages sales database and build rapport with top echelon decision makers
- Collaborates with Operations and Retention to develop regional sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines
- Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit
- Grow regional sales of emerging products

- Manages allocated budget for sales promotions and trade shows
- Review expenses and recommend economies
- Facilitate process to mobilise with Operations and other relevant teams
- Working with a defined sales team focusing on initiating relationships with multi-level decision-makers through various channels.
- Correctly costing new business, achieving the maximum margin on new business.
- Prepare quotes and/or proposals and presenting these to potential clients.
- Ensure a thorough handover of the new contract to operational staff to ensure business as usual in as short a time as possible.
- Operate effectively and efficiently to minimise the sales cycle turnaround time.
- Ensure management is kept informed by updating sales portal activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly pipeline analysis.
- Training of new sales staff.
- Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with potential customers
- Develop innovative and creative solutions to identify and develop new customers
- Proposes and closes sales that achieve set company target according to company policies and procedures
- Sustains sales activities, appointments, proposals, cold calls, database updates and reporting
- Keeps abreast of changes in technology and ability to increase knowledge of the cleaning, hygiene and pest industry and services the company offers
- Manage sales team commission payouts and inform and maintain policy process.
