Job Description
Old Mutual Insure is looking for a forward-thinking Relationship Manager to play a crucial role in managing and nurturing relationships. The role will be based in Pinelands and will report to the Senior Relationship Manager.
Job Purpose:
Manage the broker / intermediary relationship to meet growth and profitability targets across multiple products and solutions for a portfolio of clients. Support the delivery and execution of an excellent individual and / or corporate client experience.
You would:
- Build and maintain relationships with Brokers / Intermediaries
- Identify innovative methods to maximise broker / intermediary solution sales opportunities within the client portfolio.
- Manage the broker / intermediary solutions embedded with a client and ensure that optimum business flows from the solution.
- Identify new potential intermediaries & opportunities for block business & book take overs.
- Select and apply the optimal strategy and business plan to enable the broker / intermediary to drive growth and profitability on an annual basis.
- Identify cross & up selling opportunities across all products.
- Manage the implementation of operating procedures as well as monitor the quality, service standards and operational processes related to the applicable product or solution.
- Ensure statutory and legislative knowledge is always current in order to resolve binder broker issues and queries, customer complaints.
- Ensure adherence to binder contract rights and obligations, organisational policies, practices and procedures.
- Ensure binder audit findings are mediated within agreed timelines.
- Collaborate with center of excellence underwriting, sales and services operations and claims to develop or enhance the current underwriting strategy with the intent to manage the risk and quality of the business being underwritten, while driving growth targets.

Certificate In Insurance, High School (Grade 12)
