Remote Reservations Manager

Leading Tour Company is looking for an experienced Remote Reservations Manager to work closely with the General Manager to ensure the day-to-day structure and performance of the Reservations department. This remote position in South Africa requires an internet connection and backup for load shedding.

Experience Required

Proven experience as a Reservations Manager, with managing a team of at least 4+ reports remotely.

Experience within the Tourism or Hospitality Sector.

Strong destination knowledge of Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe & Zambia is a must.

Strong destination knowledge of East Africa an added advantage.

Significant travel industry experience, ideally within the luxury travel market.

Experience working in Travel Studio and Wetu is preferable. (Reservation System software).

Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products (particularly Microsoft Excel at an advanced level)

Experience taking responsibility and dealing with major accounts.

Experience in building relationships with new clients to instil confidence and grow the business.

Reporting experience.

Working knowledge of the South African Labour Law and dealing with staff management with regard to performance management.

Fluent English language skills (written and verbal).
