The Remuneration and Benefits Analyst will be responsible for maintaining, updating and implementing the reward processes based on the analysis of market-related data; and reporting on trends and recommendations on remuneration and reward initiatives to support Sun Internationals business objectives and the Groups total reward strategy, in line with legislation, BBBEE targets and Company standards.
Education and experience:
- 3-year B Degree (Business Management or similar) or HR related qualification with a focus on statistical and / or analytical subjects
- An additional post certification in remuneration and rewards is an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a remuneration analyst
- Track record in the design and management of pay scales and Job Evaluation
- Strong understanding of employment legislation, HR systems and PAYE taxation

- Analyse survey data as well as information collected from various business units
- Based on the information collected recommend and present appropriate remuneration and reward structures for approval, (including pay scales, grades and titles, JCAs etc.); before developing and implementing any necessary actions
- Provide analytical and general support to the remuneration and benefits team in the effective delivery of remuneration and benefits across the Group including increase and bonus management, and processes
- Support the implementation of initiatives and actions arising from the total reward strategy
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Keep up to date with relevant remuneration legislation and update any authorised changes to remuneration and reward guidelines, policies and procedures
- Tracks business unit compliance against these guidelines
- Protects remuneration operations by keeping information confidential.
- Analyse and submit data-sets and related questionnaires to the various survey houses and external remuneration consultants on a regular and ad-hoc basis
- Conduct job evaluations and recommends grades to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
- Benchmark the job size of positions externally
- Provides relevant communication on results to HR systems, Talent and relevant HR Practitioners.
- Build strong relationships with Group and Unit HR management, to facilitate consultations on remuneration and benefit policy interpretation, new hire and promotion offers, market analyses, job evaluations and when responding to HR queries on compensation related issues
- Liaise with external market data and salary survey providers on survey requirements and when conducting external benchmarking
- Support with the maintenance and updating of various SIL share plan allocations on the share administration platform on a monthly basis - new appointments, terminations, updating of information and ensuring that new allocations are updated in the system in line with RemCo instruction
- Extract and provide participant shareholding reports on share administration platform for ad hoc purposes and the use of Group Finance.
