Job Description
As a Report Writer (Confluence), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our client's internal and external documentation is clear, concise, and easily accessible to our teams and clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and subject matter experts, to gather information and transform it into well-structured Confluence content.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write, edit, and maintain Confluence pages, templates, and documentation that effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Documentation Management: Organize, categorize, and manage Confluence spaces to ensure content is easily searchable and up-to-date.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to gather information, understand technical concepts, and translate them into user-friendly documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Review and proofread documentation for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established standards.
- User Training: Assist in training team members and users on best practices for creating and managing Confluence content.
- Documentation Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance documentation quality and usability, implementing best practices and staying up-to-date with Confluence features and improvements.
- Version Control: Maintain version history and keep track of updates to documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably with a focus on Confluence or similar documentation platforms.
- Proficiency in Confluence, including creating and managing spaces, templates, and macros.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team.
