This is an exciting opportunity available for a suitably qualified and experienced Research Clinician to join the Vulindlela Research Site situated in the rural area of Mafakathini (Howick District).
The research site is strategically positioned in the epicenter of the disease in South Africa and the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution in the prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission.

The following are the qualifications, experience, knowledge and attributes requirements:
Education, Training and Experience
- MBChB
- Valid registration with the HPCSA and MPS registration
- Clinical Research Experience
- Interest in HIV Vaccine & Pathogenesis Research
- HIV clinical experience
- Clinical trial experience (preferable)
- Computer literacy (MS office)
- Due to operational requirements, this position may occasionally require early and late weekday work as well as Saturday work.

Key performance areas
- To contribute to running several studies in the HIV Vaccine & Pathogenesis programme under the supervision of the Head of the Programme
- To conduct clinical activities related to clinical trials and CAPRISA studies, including conducting screening and enrollment procedures; clinical evaluation of study participants, follow-up assessment and management of AE/SAEs.
