Leading Safari Tour Operator is seeking an experienced Reservations and Sales Manager to increase the profitability of the reservations department, by ensuring the team of sales consultants is provided with support, advice and guidance, promoting high-quality and efficient service levels for clients and agents; and to assist the GM in managing the in-house CRM system. This is an in-office role in Cape Town Southern suburbs.
Experience Required
At least 1 years supervisory experience at an inbound tour company, along with previous senior consultant experience of at least 10 years
Safari/inbound travel experience
Excellent systems knowledge Tourplan
MS Office
Excellent knowledge of Southern and East Africa
Experience dealing with international clients and agents
Duties Include
First response on all new inquiries and distribute to consultants
Checking that all inquiries are replied to within 24 hours
Producing weekly and monthly statistics for the business
Regular reporting with feedback and analysis of trends
Guiding any difficulties that the consultants may have
Ensuring correct sales and office procedures are followed
Managing and approving leave times
Maintain team workloads & distribute them accordingly
Check quotes
Re-allocate quotes as needed, and take on some ad hoc quotes as needed
Assist with Complaint handling
Manage in-house CRM system for maximum long-term company benefit
Providing staff training as needed
Performance reviews with staff
Dealing with any disciplinary reviews whenever necessary
Attending regular meetings with senior management
