Overview
We are currently seeking a Reserving Actuary with significant experience in general insurance. The
successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of reserving methodologies, have extensive
experience using ResQ or similar tools, and have previously worked in an audit capacity with one of
the Big 4. This role will play a critical part in supporting our clients through their year-end reserving
audits.

Key Responsibilities
- Apply actuarial methodologies to calculate insurance reserves, especially for general insurance
- Use ResQ or similar tools to develop and review reserve estimates, ensuring their accuracy and
- Assist clients with their year-end reserving audits, providing expert advice, and guidance
- Prepare and present complex actuarial reports, findings, and recommendations to both technical
- Conduct audits of actuarial models, methodologies, and calculations.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their actuarial needs and provide suitable
Key Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or higher degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related
- A nearly or newly qualified Actuary with 6-10 years of experience within general insurance.
- Proficiency in using ResQ would be beneficial.
- Prior experience in an audit role within one of the Big 4 firms is required.
- Experience of managing project team both upwards and downwards stakeholder management
- Strong knowledge of actuarial standards of practice, actuarial modelling, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to handle complex actuarial calculations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex
- Attention to detail, high levels of accuracy, and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
