An established restaurant located in the Waterfront is seeking to employ a restaurant manager to join their team on a full time and / or part time basis.
Job responsibilities:
- The main duties will be to oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make decisions on matters of importance to guest service.
- Cash up
- Checking up on tables
- Ensuring all customers are happy
- Improving sales and overall contribution to the store
- Greeting customers and assisting where possible whilst informing customers about various menu items and making recommendations
- Wine selling
- Recruiting, training and supervising staff
- Maintaining immaculate cleanliness around the shop
- Producing staff rosters
- Handling customer enquiries and complaints
- Taking reservations
- Greeting and advising customers
- Problem solving
- Preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports
- Handling administration and paperwork
- Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities, sales representatives etc
- Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant.
Job requirements:
- This is a great opportunity for an experienced high end restaurant manager with a customer and service orientated attitude who is looking to work and grow in the company.
- 3 years' experience working within a similar role
- Must have the ability to communicate fluently in English
- Excellent customer communication skills.
- Must be passionate for customer service and sales
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene standards
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Must be able to solve problems as well as work well with limited supervision
- Salary package is negotiable based on experience gained
