The Bay Hotel is currently seeking Restaurant service Supervisor to join our busy team.

The service Supervisor is responsible for providing friendly, tentative and timely service in order to create an exceptional experience. To assist in the day to day running's of the restaurant and to help ensure the Village & Life concepts, manuals, SOPS and LOGS are kept current and implemented at all times.

Minimum Requirements

Matric
Hotel School Diploma (advantageous)
Previous experience in the same or similar position within the luxury hotel sector
Familiar with the duties of the Food and Beverage / Restaurant department
MS Office, Opera and Micros experience essential

Duties and responsibilities

Ensure service levels are maintained and sustained in the Restaurant and Front Office
Operate and present according to the guidelines of the Culinary Host.
Ensure all SOPS and policies are being followed as set out by the company
Ensure stock system and controls are in place
Ensure operational implementation of menu and wine policy as advertised by the Food and Beverage Custodian
Fully responsible for the beverage results
Operate and present according to the guidelines of the Culinary Host.
Co-ordinate and secure all functions and events
Host and control all functions and events
Control and manage all Enquiries and Memberships
Manage all VIP events
To liaise and maintain the aesthetics manual that would be handed to you
Be familiar with guests staying at the hotel and walk
Maintain database (Regulars, VIP's)
To ensure that restaurant's reservations book and database is maintained
Upsell F&B, accommodation, and tourism services
Inform guests of current specials
Recognise guests who regularly visit the bar/restaurant
Take responsibility of sales and targets of special events
