Retail Area Manager

A busy well established national retail group is looking for an Area Retail Manager to be responsible for the operations management of 7 stores in prime locations in Gauteng, Four ways, Waterfall, Centurion to Pretoria. This is a hybrid role where you are working between the stores and manage the store managers. Retail operations experience is required. Drive the companys sales by ensuring the stores within the area are operating smoothly and to direct and observe the running of the stores. Reporting directly to the National Operations Executive.

Working Hours Mon to Fri 8H00 to 17H00 (sometimes overtime is required set up of Mall activations and stock takes.)

Working every 4th weekend Area Managers alternate working weekends.

Saturday in stores

Sunday on telephone duty

Responsibilities involve:

Staff planning

Working with store managers

Plan targets for the teams and communicating the sales targets

Working with the operations executive to achieve the companies goals

Go-between the senior management and store managers

Acknowledge customer queries

Stock taking

Planning of stock allocations

Implementing performance standards across the stores in the required area
